Carlee Thomas has served as the first Director of Development for the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in Orlando, Florida since 2009. Since her hire at the new medical school for the second largest university in the country, Mrs. Thomas has led fundraising efforts for the Burnett School of Biomedical Sciences, including increasing funding for research in cancer, cardiovascular, neurodegenerative and infectious disease, as well as M.D. scholarships.
Prior to joining the UCF College of Medicine, Mrs. Thomas managed fundraising for all eight departments of the UCF College of Health and Public Affairs.  She began her career in 2004 at the University of Florida College of Public Health and Health Professions.  While there she helped create and implement fundraising priorities for the initial stages of the University of Florida FLORIDA TOMORROW comprehensive capital campaign and secured leaderships gifts for the college.
