DESCRIPTION:June is National PTSD Awareness Month and the East Orlando Chamber is helping to put a spotlight on an issue that affects so many of our veterans. PTSD (Post-traumatic stress disorder) occurs in people after having experienced a particularly traumatic event like war\, violent assault\, accidents and so forth. Many recover from PTSD after a few days\, weeks or months. Yet for others\, the recovery might mean one year or more.
