RUOHOMAKI\n\n SENIOR DIRECTOR PLANNING\, ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION \n\n       Greater Orlando Aviation Authority\n\n Orlando International Airport\n\nOrlando Executive Airport \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDavin D. Ruohomaki currently holds the position of Senior Director of Planning\, Engineering and Construction for the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA). Mr. Ruohomaki is focused on the implementation of the Strategic Plan and $3B Capital Improvement Program.\n\n \n\nWhile at GOAA initially providing Program Management services\, Mr. Ruohomaki led a team for assigned construction projects in which $100M+ of successfully completed projects were accomplished over five years at OIA (2008-2013). Prior to this role\, Mr. Ruohomaki led the Program Management Contract for the $2B Orange County School Board/URS contract for six years as Director of Construction with the successful completion of over 70 school projects. \n\n \n\nMr. Ruohomaki was formerly a Corporate Officer/Vice President of URS Corporation (URS) responsible for Florida Construction Management/Program Management (CMPM) operations and also further as the Business Line Leader for the Mid-Atlantic South and Latin America.  \n\n \n\nPreviously\, Mr. Ruohomaki served as a program manager at Henkels and McCoy\, Inc. (H&M)\, designing and building the first Sprint PCS facilities in the United States.  Upon successful completion of this program\, Mr. Ruohomaki moved to Florida to manage the I.T. Design/Build for the Walt Disney Word's (WDW) new Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Subsequent to this successful completion\, WDW assigned his team the new Feature Animation Building with another successful completion.  As soon as this project was completed\, Mr. Ruohomaki joined the WDW team directly as Manager of Project Management for all I.T. project management work on WDW property in Central Florida.  Mr. Ruohomaki then transitioned back with H&M as Program Manager on the Pentagon Renovation Program in 2001.\n\n \n\nMr. Ruohomaki graduated as a Distinguished Military Graduate from the Virginia Military Institute in 1989 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He initially started his career as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army as a Battalion Staff Officer and transitioned early out to a large mechanical and well drilling firm in NJ. He went on to earn his Executive Masters of Business Administration from the University of Central Florida later in 2000.  Mr. Ruohomaki is also a Florida Licensed Certified General Contractor.  \n\n\nThe Monthly Luncheon is a crowd favorite and we continue to focus on bringing you the Central Florida keynote speakers and topics you want to hear\, right here in East Orlando.
